Warcraft fan-fiction?

I'm not regretful or embarrassed of the fact that I am a big fan and player of World of Warcraft - the online role-playing game itself as well as the fantasy world and characters created by Blizzard Entertainment. Over the course of my playing the game, I've developed vague back-stories of my own characters who I play as in-game, and have for a while been interested in taking my characters a step farther by writing actual stories about them. These would be "fan-fictions" for taking place in an established world. I haven't gotten to actually writing that much, but as I shake the rust off of my writing skills in this course, perhaps I can also work more seriously on these stories.

I hope to go more into detail about my characters in future posts; for now, I'm just going to share my basic ideas.

The only story that I actually began writing is tentatively titled "Closure." The premise of this story involves the protagonist, a female "blood elf" mage (basically a wizard) named Aesiri, dealing with her grief and feelings of guilt after Heian - her fiancee Dairen's brother - sacrifices himself to save her from the evil Lich King. Early-ish in the story it's revealed that Heian was risen by the Lich King as an undead "death knight;" somewhat later, Aesiri and Dairen will meet the now-undead Heian. Aesiri's "closure" won't come for a while more, but honestly I haven't quite worked out what will happen in between. I'm definitely looking for a conflict of some sort; I should probably spend some time one day brainstorming, since I am genuinely interested in writing this fan-fiction.

I'll most likely post the results of my brainstorming as well as character development here, among other entries.
